Adelaide University

Adelaide University Learning Hub is located in the heart of the North Terrace Campus and serves as an inspirational place for students to meet, study, make social connections and exchange ideas. B&H Australia was contracted by Baulderstone Pty Ltd to install Audio Visual and Digital Signage solutions for the Hub during its construction phase.

Since the initial scope, and subsequent expansions to the area, the Learning Hub now boasts four Student Project rooms, each with Extron control, Large format LCD displays, recording and Skype cameras. There are also two AMX controlled training rooms with AMX’s DVX All-in-One Presentation Switchers, Sony Projectors and Visualiser interfaces.

Another area is dedicated to news; with an AMX controlled LFD displaying world news channels and an array of headphone jacks for individual users to connect their own headphones to.

Other areas include a dedicated Skype booth with extron control and LFD, including a HD Tandberg USB camera and an adaptable Presentation/Function area on the 3rd floor mezzanine, with distributed Video and Audio all controlled via AMX.

B&H also provided eight Portable AV Trolleys with Extron control, LFD, built-in PC and HD web cam, all available for students to borrow and move to any of the many work booths. A Onelan Digital Signage Network of 11 signage points has also been installed throughout the Learning Hub; showing up-to-date news and events including twitter feeds from students, weather, and computer terminal availability.
