Brisbane Girls Grammar School

Brisbane’s most prestigious secondary girls’ college, Brisbane Girls Grammar School, places a very high focus on providing student facilities that are second to none. The college recently made the decision to upgrade its Audio Visual facilities across their entire campus, and B&H Australia was invited to submit a proposal for the upgrade.

In conjunction with their IT and AV support staff and the teacher’s wish lists, the college developed some key requirements for the upgrade.  Firstly, to meet the desired requirements of the Teachers, each space required a wealth of AV connectivity including AV streaming over Wi-Fi.  Many teaching spaces had to be combinable with adjoining rooms, and many were specialised spaces such as Lecture Theatres or Science Labs with differing AV requirements.  Finally, a key requirement of this upgrade as requested by support staff was a remote asset management and monitoring solution.

B&H Australia put forward a solution based on AMX control with AMX Resource Management Suite (RMS) for remote control and monitoring.  The college immediately recognised that the solution B&H proposed ticked all of their boxes at a reasonable budget, and B&H Australia was awarded the project.

Each classroom in the school features an AMX touch panel to provide the Teacher with simple control over the feature rich Audio Visual facilities and AMX RMS greatly simplifies the management of the campus’s AV facilities for the college’s support staff.
