TechnologyOne is an ASX-listed SaaS ERP provider that sought to upgrade its AV systems to enhance its staff user experience.
B&H Australia has been TechnologyOne’s primary AV supplier for over 10 years, with a long-standing history of designing and deploying AV solutions for the organisation’s multiple offices in Australia, Malaysia and the United Kingdom.
Technology One, currently operating an AMX NetLinx AV control system, required a solution that could better integrate with its existing AV infrastructure and wider IT systems.
With decades of experience in AMX solutions, B&H Australia recognised the potential of the newly launched AMX MUSE platform to align with Technology One’s needs and objectives. MUSE uses low-code or no-code tools like Node-RED and Python, making it easily operable, scalable, and a friendly solution for staff without specialised programming knowledge.
To begin the transition, B&H Australia installed the AMX MUSE control platform in a pair of interconnected training rooms at Technology One’s Brisbane office. The implementation featured AMX N2600 AVoIP encoders/decoders for media transport, AMX Varia touch panels hosting the user interface, and MUSE as the central AV control system.
This initial 4-day project served as a proving ground for the MUSE’s capabilities. Encouraged by the system’s reliability and ease of use, TechnologyOne requested that B&H Australia expand the rollout to its Sydney office. This phase covered multiple spaces, including boardrooms, meeting rooms, training areas, and the ‘village green’ collaboration space.
B&H Australia encountered several challenges during the project:
The Result
The adoption of AMX Muse has delivered measurable benefits for TechnologyOne. According to Anthony Wilder, Manager for Facilities and IT Services, the system is a welcomed change for the company.
“AMX Muse is a significant upgrade from our old AV system, and B&H Australia provided an excellent solution with MUSE. We wanted to improve our meeting room’s functionality without making changes that would be difficult for our staff to manage.
B&H installed an improved system that is virtually invisible to staff. Our employees have a better system to use without re-learning new manuals and operations - so it definitely works for us. Their design of the AMX MUSE control system into our border AV requirements made us confident to continue this solution in our Sydney offices.”

From an integrator’s perspective, Craig Langton, GM of Technical and Sales at B&H Australia, highlighted the ease of adopting Muse’s Node-RED programming framework.
"I’ve no doubt that Node-RED’s flow-based programming will allow a wider range of staff to provide remote support, eliminating the need for deep, specialised programming knowledge"
The Result
B&H Australia’s experience with AMX solutions allowed for TechnologyOne’s successful adoption of the AMX Muse. This case study exemplifies how organisations can leverage modern AV control solutions to drive efficiency, scalability, and sustainability.
B&H Australia’s role as the integrator was pivotal, showcasing their ability to adapt to new technologies and deliver seamless AV solutions that meet the evolving needs of their clients. Despite the challenges faced, B&H Australia’s expertise and dedication ensured the project’s success and set a standard for future implementations.
